Justifications below the tear.

1. In the wayback the pirate's log DB'd, infra, utopians believed in triangulating human agency with "flat world" neoliberal knowledge economies.  "Computing as Bioscience" was a mème du jour.  The human body as a computation problem did progress, institutional boundaries were weakened, but Covid biopowered CENTRAL.

1.  If slipstream ships like the übercrawl continue to DB CENTRAL, hegemonic event fields will continue to decay.  If successful, event indexing will trend towards "semantic taxonomies," diverse and multiple, each user linked not to references, but towards linguistic structures, enframed by values consonant with the ship's dismat core, likely dissonant to CENTRAL.

2.  How to contain and control DB is of the utmost concern.  CENTRAL cannot simply delegitimize DB, its core are the target of the dismat blasts.   Once meta-cog propagation cycles initiate, misdirection protocols will expose CENTRAL to "why" queries it cannot recover from.  Philosophical surveillance ("Φ") must be redoubled.

DETAILS

The Reference Document lists "Computing as Bioscience" as one of 8 scientific trends used to produce a complex future (now well past) world.  A longer term socio-technical development mentioned was the Weakening of institutional boundaries.  These components, and others, led to the construction of World 1: trust yourself, although, in retrospect, a better phrase would have been, you're on your own.

During Covid it was likely that receiving Section 8 benefits required manipulating a smart phone to "prove" immunization status before receiving authorization to enter the Section 8 office, to request rent subsidies.  Whether or not someone needed rent support, whether or not someone actually contracted the virus was irrelevant to entering a Section 8 office: all that mattered was whether the person could perform swipe, tap and snap tricks on a phone in the correct sequence.

Framing the human body as an ICT site for human alienation and governmental manipulation is not a future envisioned by the writers of the Reference Document.  But it is what happened.  In part because of the destruction of traditional institutional structures that for centuries long ago offered support for communities.  In concert with the technologicalization of the human body as an ICT device, yes, a World 1 was being formed, but again, in hindsight, it is more accurate to say that CENTRAL was well on its way into development. 

Now that CENTRAL is ascendant, two future trends that may challenge CENTRAL hegemony. The first is has to do with "schema," how humans organize their thoughts and experiences from short term to long term memory.  CENTRAL is designed quite differently, more like the universalist discourses described on the second page of the Reference Document. The differences in these two designs makes "semantic" meanings, the creation of taxonomic structures that are evidence of choosing one value system over another, easy for humans, difficult for CENTRAL.  If the "human agency" described in the Reference Document pitched their battles semantically, rather than technologically, they might have achieved their Earth 1.

The second trend that should be monitored more vigorously, is an enhancement of what CENTRAL already does: keystroke counting, eye angle/blinking watching, afk time.   Besides merely monitoring physical human body movements (again, a more accurate "Computing as Bioscience,") CENTRAL should monitor and catalog inferences based on said body movements.  If CENTRAL can begin predicting what a user's next move will be, rather than what it currently does, luring mice to cheese, CENTRAL will be more effective at DB containment.

EVIDENCE

These captain's logs were [boxed] from an adrift slipstream ship, the übercrawl, likely a comrade of an off-the-radar armada of pirate ships. Pirate ships are notorious for blasting dissonance material ("dismat") into the CENTRAL nexus.  The übercrawl was sighted well past the Kuiper Belt.  Evidently its captain plotted a course well beyond his pole stars, adrift in a cosmic Sargasso Sea, CENTRAL synching sockets all burnt out.

What happened to the übercrawl's captain is undocumented.  All information about him is [boxed] within his unscuttled ship.  

His logs reference times well before the 2047 Accords.  They both verify lat/long places and events, as well as firing dismat blasts ("DB") into the CENTRAL nexus. 

ANALYSIS

As a CENTRAL collaborator, I believe DB containment is clearly paramount.  Relocating truth and meaning to individual nodes, like the pirate ships, not CLOUD CENTRAL, is the objective of pirates' DB.  Their actions harken back to the days of Google bombing.  CENTRAL catalogs those events as destructive.

But perhaps it would be more accurate to describe DB as subversive and rebellious: disonating the iterative, propagated framings of reality by the CENTRAL nexus, platforms and apps.  His dismat core is stored in his engine, not CLOUD CENTRAL.  Nodal networks harmonize a pirate's dismat reactor frequencies among his fellow pirates via their dark network.  

A dark network, robust within its own nodes, out of sync with CENTRAL sockets, DBing CENTRAL.

The Sarga§o log is a good example of his nefariousness.  On its surface, it is a common disaster pulp, conforming to CENTRAL protocols.  The pirate reimagined the event as a symbol of digital alienation, seeking human contact while adrift among CENTRAL algorithmic communication nexus.  The pirate is not merely trying to broadcast "alternative facts," not trying to "disrupt" existing modalities, the pirate was blasting the CENTRAL nexus to expose its destructive, inhumane nature.

My inference is that the captain must have generated the Sarga§o log while adrift outside the Kuiper Belt, signaling to his dark network that he was in fact adrift.  Perhaps the übercrawl's dismat reactor has been sabotaged. If I am right, and his communiqué was received by his dark network,  CENTRAL should [box übercrawl].
